Award Celebration
Amazing teachers transform lives. Each year, in partnership with Sarasota County Schools, the Education Foundation of Sarasota County celebrates these educators through the Ignite Education Teacher of the Year Award Celebration.
Each district school nominates a teacher as its honoree. From these nominees, one elementary, one middle school, and one high school Teacher of the Year are selected. Among the three, one is ultimately chosen as the Sarasota County Teacher of the Year.
At the Ignite Education Teacher of the Year Awards Celebration, we honor all of the nominees and announce the Sarasota County Teacher of the Year. We appreciate the hard work, care, and commitment of all of the teachers in Sarasota County Schools.
