Each year, in partnership with Sarasota County Schools, the Education Foundation of Sarasota County honors exceptional educators through the Ignite Education: Teacher of the Year Award Celebration.
Every district school nominates a teacher as its honoree. From these nominees, one elementary, one middle, and one high school Teacher of the Year are selected. Among these three outstanding educators, one is ultimately chosen as the Sarasota County Teacher of the Year.
