Teacher Ambassador Program

In August 2023, the Education Foundation of Sarasota County launched the Teacher Ambassador Program. The program aims to reach more teachers and engage with them directly. It gives teachers a voice so that we hear directly from them about the challenges they face and how we can best support them. We can share with teachers the resources we can provide and new initiatives we’re undertaking so that they can inform their colleagues at their respective schools. At the heart of this program is building stronger connections between the Education Foundation and teachers.

For ease and accessibility, monthly meetings are held virtually after the in-person kick-off meeting. Ambassadors who engage year-round receive a $500 stipend as well as introductory gifts.

Currently, we have teacher ambassadors from 22 schools across Sarasota County. Our goal is to have teachers from all 55 schools in the district engage with us through this great new program. We need you!
