Description:
The Arthur D. Vandroff scholarship is a $1,000 renewable scholarship awarded to one Sarasota High School (SHS) senior with demonstrated financial need.
Requirements:
- Be a Sarasota High School (SHS) senior.
- Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Plan to enroll in an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university, or technical/vocational school.
- Begin postsecondary school in the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Complete an online application and essays.
- Submit one letter of recommendation.
- Submit unofficial high school transcript.
- Submit a copy of your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) with your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC).
- If selected scholarship funds will be sent directly to the student’s postsecondary school upon proof of high school graduation.
- Renewable for up to four years (max $4,000) providing the recipient is making satisfactory academic progress. Renewal will be based on an annual submission of a one-page letter describing the student’s year in college and an official college transcript demonstrating at least a C+ average or better each year.
