Requirements

  • Applicants must be Sarasota County residents with severe and profound hearing loss. This refers to a person who cannot detect sound at an amplitude of 71 or higher decibels.
  • Applicants must include proof of hearing loss (e.g., audiogram, medical diagnosis) and Sarasota County residency (e.g., identification card, home or utility bill) when applying.
