The Gamma Xi Boulé Matthew Carter Scholarship Program will provide a $16,000 scholarship to the successful scholar with payments of $4,000 a year for four years. This scholarship recognizes outstanding academic performance and community engagement by Sarasota and Manatee County students.

Eligibility:

• Must be a graduating high school Senior from a Sarasota or Manatee county school
• Be a resident of Sarasota or Manatee County
• Be a citizen, legal permanent resident, or national of the United States
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on an unweighted 4.0 scale
• Show evidence of readiness for and commitment to pursue college majors, including business, finance, biological / life sciences, physics, chemistry, social science, mathematics, engineering and other academic degree disciplines.
• Submit a transcript
• Present proof of admission / acceptance into an accredited College or University
• Have a demonstrated financial and unmet need as measured by the students accepting College or University
• Show evidence of leadership through work, school and / or community service activities
• Complete the application essay
• Submit two letters of recommendation, including one from a high school faculty member

Complete and submit the application by the deadline of Friday, April 9, 2027. Finalists will be contacted by April 30th and interviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
