Launching Leaders in the Arts Awards Program
National League of American Pen Women Sarasota Branch
Award: $250 - $2,000
Deadline: March 5, 2022

The competitions are open only to SENIORS (females and males) in all public high schools in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Competition categories include Visual Arts, Letters (Writing) and Music (visit website for application, specific rules and submission guidelines for each category). Awards range from $250 to $2,000. The purpose of the awards is to encourage self-expression, creativity and foster further interest or education in the arts.

In addition to receiving an award, winning students will perform, read or exhibit their winning entries at the Awards luncheon held at Bird Key Yacht Club on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 11:30 AM. Guests are also welcomed to attend with a lunch purchase.

Additional opportunities will be afforded to the winners to display their artwork, have their writings in print and participate in musical performances as we help to “launch” our student’s future in the arts.

Applications must be competed online. Click on “Awards Program” for information.
