Description:

The Ivy Foundation provides funds to advance education for high school African American females of Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Their focus is to provide high school seniors from a public-school access to financial support based either on academic merit and/or leadership skills. The foundation is a source of support for African American female graduating seniors who meet the specified guidelines and who plan to attend a four-year college or university.

Eligibility:

* Must be an African American female classified as a high school senior. The student must be graduating from a public high school of Manatee and Sarasota Counties and preparing to attend an accredited four-year degree granting institution.
* Student must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and leadership skills.
* Have a minimum GPA) Grade Point Average) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
* All applicants must be involved in the interview process to be considered for a scholarship.
* Scholarship funds will be paid during the month of August —directly to the college, not the student. The scholarship funds will be issued to the college or university upon receiving a certificate of enrollment for the fall semester, which includes the Student ID number and Financial Aid Office address.
* Applicants must have the endorsement of their School Counselor on their application attesting they are qualified for this scholarship program and have met graduation requirements (to be submitted with application)
* Applications must be received by the Ivy Foundation no later than April 28, 2023. Late applications will not be accepted.
