The Education Foundation of Sarasota County’s Career and Technical School Scholarship is for Sarasota County high school seniors
seeking a local workforce degree or certification from Suncoast Technical College, Manatee Technical College, or Charlotte Technical College. Multiple scholarships are available with preference given to high school seniors currently in a dual enrolled program and with a plan to continue pursuing after graduating from high school. The scholarship amount will vary based on program and is available for both qualified (tuition/lab/student fees) and non-qualified (uniforms/supplies/tools) educational expenses.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Class of 2024 Sarasota County high school senior (public or charter school)
• Demonstrated financial need and completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)*
• Planning to attend Suncoast Technical College, Manatee Technical College, or Charlotte Technical College in the Summer or Fall of 2024.
• Enrolling in or completing (if already dual enrolled) one of the following programs:
o Automotive Service Technology
o Aviation Airframe Mechanics
o Carpentry
o Electricity
o Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
o Fire Science
o Fire Science/EMT
o Industrial Machinery Maintenance and Repair
o Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
o Marine Service Technology
o .NET Application Development and Programming
o Plumbing
• Must complete online application
• If awarded, the recipient agrees to ongoing communication with The Education Foundation of Sarasota County Scholarships Manager regarding program progress/completion and job placement.

*Note due to recent FAFSA changes the Student Aid Index (SAI) Report may be delayed. If you are still waiting for your report, you will need to calculate your SAI utilizing this estimator. The online scholarship application will allow you to submit proof of FAFSA completion via your email confirmation from FAFSA and by providing your estimated SAI. You may be asked to submit your SAI report once released from FAFSA.
