Description:

The Education Foundation of Sarasota County’s Career and Technical Education SCF Scholarship. This scholarship is for Sarasota County high school class of 2024 graduates seeking a Career and Technical Education (CTE) degree from the State College of Florida (SCF). Multiple scholarships are available. The scholarship amount will vary based on program and is available for qualified (tuition/lab/student fees) and/or nonqualified (uniforms/supplies/tools) educational expenses.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Class of 2024 Sarasota County high school graduate (public or charter school)
  • Demonstrated financial need and completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)*
  • Planning to attend the State College of Florida (SCF) in the Fall of 2024 or Spring 2025
  • Enrolling in a State College of Florida (SCF) Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Visit SCF website for a listing of programs – https://www.scf.edu/academics/career-and-technical-education/
  • Must complete online application
  • If awarded, the recipient agrees to ongoing communication with The Education Foundation of Sarasota County Scholarships Manager regarding program progress/completion and job placement.

*Note due to recent FAFSA changes the Student Aid Index (SAI) Report may be delayed. If you are still waiting for your report, you will need to calculate your SAI utilizing this estimator. The online scholarship application will allow you to submit proof of FAFSA completion via your email confirmation from FAFSA and by providing your estimated SAI. You may be asked to submit your SAI report once released from FAFSA.
