Editor’s note: This column is the latest in a series with teachers and students describing how they are adapting to the new school year’s pandemic-altered environment. 

Meet Josh Grant, a teacher at Venice High School who was Sarasota County’s 2020 High School Teacher of the Year.  

I believe the most important task for kids this school year is to reconnect and get reacquainted with learning.  

There’s a hitch: Because of COVID-19, students aren’t the only ones learning the ropes. They’re watching as many of their teachers also get familiar with new teaching tools.
