The Future of the World in My Classroom

Lately, we’ve seen and heard a lot about the importance of young people learning how government and political parties work.

That conversation is expected in any election year, but more so when we have just witnessed three branches of government interacting in a presidential impeachment trial.

As an eighth-grade civics teacher, I cannot overemphasize the importance of all citizens — not only students — knowing the content that’s covered in history and civics education.
