Venice High teacher says his approach allows students to engage in team-based projects that build their confidence and prepare them for teamwork in future jobs and college group projects.
“What is a teacher’s job?”
If asked, many people would say: to instruct.
They would be right, and sure, I want my students to earn good grades and master subject matter.
But my job isn’t done then. Happily, many fellow educators share the viewpoint that the overarching reason we are here is to help kids find pathways for their lives.
