Shane Swezey is Sarasota County’s Teacher of the Year and the Florida Department of Education nominated him as a Top 5 finalist in the state. He’s just that special. Earlier this month we cheered for him during the Florida Teacher of the Year annual gala. Although he was not awarded the top honor, those who work with Shane at Oak Park School know Shane’s real achievements aren’t awards and recognitions, but rather the positive impact he makes with his students daily.
