Join us as we host our first AFA CyberPatriot CyberCamp this July 17-21, 2017. AFA CyberCamps program was created to continue to inspire students to pursue STEM related activities outside of the school year. Students with be introduced to the CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, cybersecurity career opportunities, cyber ethics, online safety, how computers work, and cyber threats throughout the week-long camp. The camp is open to students in grades 7-12 and meets every day from 8am-12pm at Riverview High School at 1 Ram Way.

Day 1: Introduction to the CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, cybersecurity career opportunities, cyber ethics, online safety, how computers work, and cyber threats 

Day 2: Cybersecurity principles, virtual machines, basic Windows security policies and tools, and account management

 Windows file protections, auditing and monitoring, introduction to Server 2008 and introduction to Linux

Day 4: Ubuntu terminology and concepts, basic graphical user interface security, basic command line security, and intermediate Ubuntu security

Day 5: Mini- CyberPatriot competition
